Generally follow the local council by-laws (normally used by building contractors) which is 8am up to 6pm.
Sometimes we leave it 'till 8.30 for real annoying high pitched 2stroke gear. However depending on location or agreement with residents/committees.
I think it's only if there is an emergency and safety is involved (ie dangerous tree etc) can you deviate without risk a fine.
Don't forget you are subject to the The Control of (noise) Pollution Act...
8am if I'm in a rush, 830 normally. I've been asked to not use machinery until 11am before due to a neighbour who works late shifts... I ended that job pronto!
8 on a weekday, 9 on a Saturday, and never before 10 on the rare Sundays.
The only time I've deviated was as small, dead tree to clear on a Sunday (tenants moving in on the Monday morning), with a horrendous thunderstorm coming in fast. One cut, probably 10 seconds at most including starting the chainsaw, but it cost me a week of complaints from neighbours to the agents, as it was about 9:30. I should have waited and got struck by lightening instead!
There are some gardeners local to me who work on a Sunday morning. I wouldn't even cut my own grass or hedges early on a Sunday morning.
Never work at weekends. 8am - weekdays.
8am most mornings, try to leave two stroke until 8:30.
Funny It applies to us what about the noisy planes that fly over at 3am! They make more noise than my mower although If I had one of there engines it would be cut alot quicker and the waste would not be an issue as it would burn up.
7am with Pellenc battery powered tools. 8am with mowers.
