Really pleased to see two very interesting Etesia prototypes being shown on the their stand at SALTEX 2014 today with Les Malin (Etesia's UK Director) and Neal Barker (Etesia UK Field Sales/After Sales Specialist) taking time to proudly show off these exciting developments emanating out of the UK due to requests from its user base (..and a few LJN Supporters....)

1 - A Prototype Duocut 4 Wheel Professional Mower with a very neatly designed "quick" attach Roller system for use with/without collector box.

YES!... we may finally be getting what every good professional Contractor wants - a decent 4 wheel mower that can collect/mulch/let-fly AND stripe with excellent wet weather performance.

2 - A Prototype Li-On battery powered Duocut 4 Wheel with all the same attributes as above. Very quiet with a fast spin up and blade speed.

Well done...     Look forward to seeing these in production for 2015 ? ;-) and who says Manufacturers do not listen to their UK & LJN Customer base.....

  • Brilliant news - these will sell like the proverbial hot cakes!

  • Would definitely go for the roller, my gearbox went on my honda pro today and it is only 15 months old. I have been a honda advocate over the years but this got me thinking it might be time for a change.
  • How long - Its bascially a given I will buy 2x of these with a roller - Etesia's are probabbly singularly 50% of my revenue stream and never skip a beat, I can cut in driving rain witht them... A decent stripe without having to mod a rubber mat (which breaks off monthly) would be amazing

Excellent news and the battery model with roller would finally complete my eco credentials. I want one now.

Mulching with a roller may require a scraper bar to stop grass sticking to it.

  • looks d.i.y hayter split/ roller is the drive.

    how well will this turn?

  • Get it under £1500 and in a pro size and we might have a useful machine... :/

Now an Etesia with a roller even if just an attachment sounds very interesting, I will defiantly be checking that out ...

I couldn't agree more, an Etesia with a roller would be an excellent idea!

Stuart, I believe the cross bar (with a natty'Etesia' laser cut into it :-) acts as scraper bar from what I can remember.

They hope to make it a modular kit with different size rollers available for the different mowers.

The roller looks like the roller off a vans roof mount ladder rack.

They are bespoke and made to Etesia UK's spec by a company who specialises in this market. They are evaluating various roller 'weights' at the moment.
