Thanks for bringing this to members' attention Robert.
There's another thread; http://www.landscapejuicenetwork.com/forum/topics/rolawn-quality on the same subject
Dont use them again. Bad service should be high lighted.
Problem is, as always, that refunds are limited to the cost of materials. We have a front door that's being replaced as faulty, but we have to pay for the three coats of sealer on each side, the carpenter for a day, the possible cost of a new sealed glazing unit if it doesn't come out in one piece. More than the faulty door coast.
We need to rely on suppliers, as the labour is our loss if it goes wrong.
we wont Stuart use them again. we all have to do are best and if the is a problem we have to sort it out. the supplyers should be the same but they know that there are thousends of other people that place orders.its a case of not are problem but when the phone stops ringing they will wake up.

Hi Rob,
I used to use Rolawn all the time, but we had similar problems a few years back and haven't used them since.
Like you have said, they should cover all the installers costs as without us, they wouldn't have a supply chain.
I would recommend Soverign Turf, we have laid a lot of it over the past few years and are very happy with the quality.
You can buy it direct from them or through an agent, which ever way you choose it comes direct to site and is normally with us by 8am.
I use Country Supplies for our turf supplies - http://countrysupplies.uk.com/index.php?cPath=476_381&osCsid=a9...

As a turf supplier of quite long standing, I have to say in Rolawn's defence that it has not been the easiest of years to produce good quality turf, but, having said that, I am not sure that the waether has been tyha only problem for them.
They used to produce quite a decent product, but based on the reports you have been receiving and the stories we hear from customers looking for good quality turf, things may have slipped a bit.
Landscapers do need confidence in the the product they are ordering as their reputation will be on the line with their customers, but if you contact Jubilee Seeds & Turf Ltd on 01797 260673 I can promise you a well above average product, with a decent delivery service (nationwide) and a cheerful ordering process
