Can't help you on your questions Gary but I have been toying with this chap
http://www.dmmp.co.uk/Earthway-S25-Sprayer.html
or for even larger areas then http://www.agrigem.co.uk/equipment/spray-equipment/ags-80l.html
Please let us all know what you decide on and you know what "sheep" we all all like :-)
Just a thought but would a walk behind sprayer still be covered by pa6?
Graeme, we use Earthway PI spreaders for pedestrian path gritting and it looks like the same chassis. If so, look closely at the 'plastic encased gearbox' & drive. We have to make a couple of little 'mods' otherwise we found they could loose drive.
Pa2 is required I think for a walk behind sprayer.

It's a grey area : P2A excludes pedestrian sprayers, but only an issue if applying a 'weed' element in a "weed&feed' product. Fertiliser wise should be no problems.
That's because the PA tickets only cover Pesticides which ferts are obviously not!
Are you applying the FE to get rid of moss or to green up the sward? Now, that's a grey area and open to interpretation!
Nice 'spot' Nick....of course it's for a green-up ;-)
I thought so. That's the only reason we would apply FE :)
Isn't PA2 for tractors? Hardly believe a push sprayer falls under this cat?
Gary the biggest issue with a walk over sprayer IMO is the need for a battery.
The one's that use the power from walking are no good for herbicide as you don't have enough control when you come to the end of the strip. You need an on and off switch.
