Mole mayhem!

Hi, I've got moles or possibly just one little blighter causing havoc in my lawn. I need to get serious about removing or permanently damaging him. So what works; traps, pesticides, sonic sounds or something else?

  • Moles are solitary animals and territorial so probably only one.

Get a qualified molecatcher in and your problems are solved.

I would offer my services but Newcastle to Suffolk for one mole might be a trifle expensive.

  • Moles are remarkably easy to catch - read this, thoroughly, and you'll have him sorted in no time....

I have no affiliation with walcotefarm - just stumbled on this site a year or two ago, and having followed the authors advice, now catch moles with ease (having spent years previously thinking it was a really specialist job).

  • 2 mole traps for £10 on flee bay. Just set them in the run, even in the mole hill. I put a red and white cone over the trap/s as a warning not to touch and never failed. Can take a week or longer but it's certainly not rocket science or else I would have failed.
  • I have a couple of traps but clearly haven't been using them correctly. What a great website Nick, thank you. Operation mole here I come!
  • Dont set the trap in the mole hill as you will be very unlikely to catch anything!! Find the run and set the trap in there. Check out youtube as there are plenty of videos on there regarding setting traps!

  • We have a feral cat and hence no moles. You'll see her once in a while just sitting and staring at a patch of ground with her ears pointed forward listening, when the mole pops his head up - hey presto, no more mole
