I applied and got my cards through a few weeks ago....... where do I start with this ?.
Got made all sorts of promises, cheaper fuel guaranteed, easy billing, clear concise statements. What a total let down.
Over charged by 8p per litre, charged for a carbon footprint statement and charged for my membership. Customer service is non existent, been waiting for my money back, due about £30, no response from my account handler. Direct debit cancelled, they soon phoned then to ask why. Gave them all the info over a week ago and still nothing. Not using this service again. Applied for a Morrisons backed Fuelgenie card instead and have been using that. 45 days free credit, loyalty points and no problems......so far.
These guys came on to LJN making all sorts of promises and have failed miserably in my case. Phil, maybe you can step in and sort my overcharge out because they dont seem to be giving a toss where Im concerned.
Anybody else got any experience on this subject ?
Thanks for the heads up on this Brian.
I'm currently on leave but I've just called them. Hoping to speak to someone soon and I'll get back to you.
For the record. Robin, are you with The Fuelcard People or with Fuelcard Solutions?
I have spoken to Steve Gale at The Fuelcard People. If Steve hasn't done so already, he should be calling you personally to discuss what went wrong.
Please bear in mind that LJN members get the first 12 months free and Premium Members get free cards for the lifetime of their contract.
If anyone has had any issues whilst dealing with The Fuelcard People please leave a message here and we can help resolve any problems.

they took £90 from me the year before for card fees.
£40 last year.
i had to phone yesterday to see why i was overcharged for my diesel when i use the only local shell bunker site... and make sure no fees taken again.
yes nikki on here- & sam i spoke to . used to be laura at birmingham. - im really not pleased.
- can we get a better deal phil? how many and what volumes on here now ? i just paid £390 for last month... no points or prizes / just overcharged 4 p above normal pump price !
Rob, Phil's question is key.
It sounds like you are talking about "FuelCard Solutions/Forecourt Fuels" fuel cards (which merged/got taken over?) - the original suppliers of cards tom LJN.
These are not the same people as the existing offer - "The Fuelcard People".
Who ever you are with, it is vital to keep and eye of the weekly fuel cost email and compare with your locality via someone like www.petrolprices.com. It seems they all often a need a nudge to keep prices competitive.

i know what im talking about. stop commenting on all my posts and do some work gary.
i get 1/4p of My fuel pump price - they have overcharged 4p a litre ! & im in a mid-range are.
in addition to annual fees twice for £120 that should never have gone out of my account as we have NO fees with LJN.
I know they got taken over as i had a letter. -i still have the same card & its same people in the offices and same phone number OK boss..

Got to say, with all the problems I had with the first fuel card it's not worth the effort, even if it saves a few pennies. Personally, I didn't use mine once, as they were always more expensive than the local station by a penny or so.
I understand the benefits for fleet vehicles, but for most of us it's another layer of admin, and extra cost in many cases.
I just give up on fuel cards- our local Sainsburys beats them all! Our fuel card company bombard us with text messages, keep promising excellent rates and over charge when we aren't looking. :-( Not one of the companies mentioned here - think ours is Fuelcard services? Their names are all too similar.
I gave up with fuel cards for all the reasons above. Not worth the hassle for me and I feel better without them. Yes I too get lots of emails from a fuel card promising the earth - goes straight in the bin with the rest of the spam.
