I think it's a lovely idea, and something garden related, - plant etc is appropriate. - Why not plant up some forcing daffodils, - I did some with the school children the other day, - 3 bulbs in a long tom, - price each less than £2 but looks worth at least a fiver.
Same here I'm going with the daffs as well for regulars but need to come up with something special for a very good customer not sure what yet.
As a marketing on the side of it it can be anything that they use with your branding,
If few firms are willing to design a calender together , than it can look great and not too expensive to produce.
With your tel no. etc in there all year around and images of your best gardens to create a chat about.
Just an idea - that I heard that works well ( never tried it ).
but I had years ago a slide show on cds
of gardens that we did , and I know customers kept it/ loved it and even gave it to friends that later on we designed their gardens ...
