A 130mph fire-spitting lawn mower from Top Gear

Thought this might make a few smile, although I don't think it will help the grass, but take a look at Honda's 130mph fire-spitting lawn mower.

Honda took up a challenge from Top Gear to convert a lawn mower into a monster lawn mower.

And it looks as though that is exactly what is being created as despite the steering rack coming from a Morris Minor.

It has racing wheels and tires, with a VTR 1000cc motorcycle engine popped into the thing offering a possible speed of 130mph.

Oh and it still has the grass cutting blades underneath to ensure a smooth cut at top speed.

    I love the idea of 130mph lawn mower :) I might buy one for myself haha.

    Will be interesting to see what aspects of the finished project make it into production machines :-)

    Personally, would love a turbo mower (...no not the B&Q jobbies....! )

    my torro would possabley get to that speed but the verable drive lets it down as it pulls me off my feet it stops and leaves me in a heap on the lawn

    My neighbour works next door to Team Dynamics and he has been spraying some of the panels for the mower as well as lots of Honda Civic touring cars parts!
