The environmentalist John Vidal wrote yesterday (22nd May 2012) in his piece "The Chelsea flower show is nature for the 1%" that RHS Chelsea epitomises a surreal version of nature so cherished and exalted by London's wealthy "garden enthusiasts".

Hopefully, having explored different options on how to present a garden design or landscaping brand to our target audience, we have now received some enquiries!
The second stage of the design process involves handling these enquiries: this is especially important for designers because it will be the first active communicative response to our potential client, and we need to demonstrate our professionalism as…

Having established the 10 major stages of the design process; let’s now have a look at how these might be achieved:
Each week I shall concentrate on 1 stage of the design process and discuss my personal approach and what software and techniques I use. I’d be keen to hear how your approach differs and what programs you utilise and in what way.

I am primarily a designer and I don’t know about you but my brain certainly behaves a little bit like a computer running on low RAM: too many applications running at once and ideas take a long time to load. …

Hi Nicky, The Chelsea Fringe is a brilliant idea and I bet and hope this gets huge very quickly. What you were saying about Chelsea is concerning as myself and others wrote to Defra to encourage that they engage with practitioners more in regards the spread of pathogens - their solution was to take it to Chelsea and simply lay out posters and videos which isn't really full engagement, which from what you say is unlikely to happen at Chelsea anyway, a bit sad and shortsighted maybe?!. I sometimes used to work near enough to Glasgow, Luss estates and once at Auchineden - very fuzzy memories of the ubiquitous chip.
