This week by Busy Bee Garden Services

Posted on June 3, 2012 at 16:03 0 Comments

Phew the rain has arrived at last, sounds funny after the wettest April but when your grounds are on sandy soil it does not take too long for the lawns to lose their lush look, still I am sure witht he current rainfall and our expert lawn care programme they should look good for another month, we have a couple of estate and large gardens who are on clay soil and although their lawns looked better, when we tried to weed the borders it was rock hard so hopefully this will help us this next…

The team were working this week in a garden in Virgina Water, Surrey and we suddenly noted a rather nice smell, looked around and our client had a beautiful looking witchhazel or Hamamelis mollis. This got us thinking about the gardens and sites we visit and how there must be a plant of the week which might be a nice feature for "blog" so I'll get the ball rolling with the wichhazel.

What we liked about it was that it flowers in winter which is usual and makes it stand out from the…
