Your Christmas flower garden

Every week I photograph and describe a flower from my garden on Pinterest. This weeks is here: http://pinterest.com/pin/254875660133220308/Each Christmas I like to list every plant in flower in the garden - it's a tradition going back many years. About your business
Son of a Cornish nurseryman, I have run nurseries, garden centres, a French seed wholesaler and domestic and commercial landscape companies.
My mis-education started at the Royal gardens of Windsor and continued at horticultural colleges in Cornwall, Berkshire and Worcestershire.
These days I am a garden designer and live in France with my wife and poodle, where we run the Garden Design Academy providing distance learning and residential courses in garden design, gardening, landscaping and horticulture. The Garden Design Academy is the only institution in mainland Europe offering the full range of RHS qualifications.
We continue to design gardens in Europe, USA and China and provide other horticultural services such as consultancy, garden tour guidance, etc.

In flower this Christmas

Posted on December 26, 2011 at 16:04 1 Comment

This fine seasonal ritual has been practiced by British gardeners for generations, with the results being posted to the Letters to the Editor section of some of the more serious papers for the education and edification of…

New Garden Design Academy Facebook page

Posted on December 17, 2011 at 17:49 0 Comments

Amid huge excitement the Garden Design Academy has just launched its new Facebook page. We have taken the same approach to Facebook as we did with our web site. First sign up and put something on line; learn how it works and what we could do with it. In the light of this experience improve the site, and then improve it some more. The result is this Welcome page which can be found at…

Distance learning courses for gardeners, landscapers, garden designers and now.....parks and recreation

Posted on October 29, 2011 at 15:31 0 Comments

The Garden Design Academy began by providing training to garden designers and by assisting home gardeners to design their own gardens. I started offering these in the UK from our offices in Hertfordshire and when we moved to France they took on a whole new lease of life.

The small selection of…
