It sits alongside business continuity plans, business exit plans and god forgive, what would happen if a major illness/sickness kept you away.
As an aside, I'm as guilty as most by keeping my nose to the ground ensuring the business runs, the clients get served, we pay our bills and importantly pay/reward our staff. We also all hit that 'wall', where we realise as an individual we can't carry on as we did in our youth.
So could your business benefit from you being fired from daily work to focus on 'larger goals' ? and has your business got what it takes to continue without you ?

Makes me happy to see that you guys read them and find some kind of value in them.
You are absolutely right about how its a good idea to be prepared in case you get sick or ill and have to step away from the business for some time. I did not think about that but it is a great point and reason to have your business setup to run without you.
I am interested in following the discussion on the questions you asked.
At Jobber since we are growing so fast we are all learning how to constantly change positions and sometime we have to fire ourselves from something and pass it along to someone else.
