About the Landscape Juice Network

Founded in 2008. The Landscape Juice Network (LJN) is the largest and fastest growing professional landscaping and horticultural association in the United Kingdom.

LJN's professional business forum is unrivalled and open to anyone within within the UK landscape industry

LJN's Business Objectives Group (BOG) is for any Pro serious about building their business.

For the researching visitor there's a wealth of landscaping ideas, garden design ideas, lawn advice tips and advice about garden maintenance.

What has LJN done for you?

What is the single most influential piece of information you have received through LJN that has made a positive advancement or alteration in respect of any aspect of your business operation.Although the reference is to “single influence“, to be honest for me there has been several small items of information which has been very useful. I found this site by asking “what does a gardener charge“.and the information which I ultimately acquired was the going rate and best tools for hedge trimming.I realised I could charge a substantially higher price than I had been, specially combined with improved efficiency.. Thereafter “say it as it is Paul” ultimately convinced me that a 40” single sided hedge trimmer was the way forward. Without this site it could have taken me forever, perhaps never, to have made the advancements as I only rub shoulders with one other person in the business. And he knows no better than I did.So thank you LJN (Phil) for creating the site but mostly to the generosity of the members who unselfishly share their years of experience with strangers who are sometimes complete novices.Although the site is free I now think we should donate whatever we are able, to ensure the site is there to provide whatever it is that we gain/enjoy.I must admit I was slow to donate but I hope that I am not the last. And this is from a guy who will walk a mile rather than pay for car parking.

  • Same here,

Priceless like many things in life. i feel it has given me a social life with people who are like-minded and hard working, with the same interests as me gardening/design/machinary/landscaping :

see my reply to TGG discussion.

Thanks again Phil and everyone for support on LJ. Happy New Year and Keep Smiling (and warm) :-)
  • The best bit of info I got was regarding acid stains on sandstone slabs, mainly because it saved me loads of money but from the responses I got I realised this was the site for me, I have got loads of useful info from LJN and have the up most respect for the masses of knowledge that can be offered by everybody. Thanks to all and I will definitely be making a justified donation in Feb, when I have some spare cash!

Cherz Phil for creating LJN for all of us.
  • Again, the crucial bit of info I got was in relation to pricing. Then all the technical stuff to do with kit.

Some things such as business ethic, advertising, customer service etc are VERY subjective and vary hugely from person to person. I feel many things have to be done 'your' way rather than following advice, but that's where judgement comes into play.
  • Inspiration, freely given advice, an absolute wealth of information and a real sense of community. We all work hard and this forum helps us to get all we can from it by sharing the ideas and experience.
