treatment

Hey everyone! Just after a bit of advice for treating this lawn. Its pretty mossy and has quite a few shrooms growing in it. Its one of those classic new build sites with hardly and topsoil. So do you reckon spiking, scarifying and topdressing will do the trick? How much topdressing would you reckon would be needed per square meter? And is it an ok time of year to do this?

Ben your probably best to hold off until the spring to do a job like this, your taking a chance if you plan on seeding now. If you get a frost within the next month or so chances are it will wipe out the new seed.

  • as Robbie says bit late for seed give it a Autumn feed if there is little top soil it might not be worth spiking have you dug a peace out to see whats underneath? it also looks like there is a lot of couch grass in there

  • At this time of the year apply an Autumn Fertilizer with dichlorophen (moss killer).
