RED/WHITE DIESEL

just checking that every one is aware of using red diesel on the roads.even tractors used for cutting amenity grass,driven on the roads are required to use white diesel ,this does increase fuel costs dramatically because of higher tax on white diesel.only tractors going between fields may use red,those tractors used mainly for haulage purposes should use white.im not sure about diggers and dumpers,but ill look into it.

    The question of using red or white is a mine field. Just when you think you understand the change of law you get another take on it. I'll dig out my guidance notes on it.

    Regarding diggers I was under then impression that they had to run on white under normal circumstances but as this doesn't affect me I didn't pay too but attention to this bit.

    Has anyone ever been dipped?

    Once by customs on the main road into town it was about 5yrs ago now.
