Post Holer recommendations

Anyone care to share any recommendations for 1 Man post hole borers ?

Our Ardisam has given up and we've missed it tremendously. It so so used, not just for the obvious post holes, but for planting...

I have been looking to see if we can source a new engine, but seems 'impossible' here in the UK.

Seen some really cheap items around, but after reading feedback comments, I perhaps understand why  ...:-(

Otherwise I guess it's another Ardisam, or perhaps ...a Stihl, Makita or Draper with a check to see if existing Augers fit...?

    Ive got two of these Gary. Invaluable bits of kit for large scale planting works. First one I bought was a Techsumie, Chinese make and still boring holes sfter 4 years of heavy use. Second one bought was a makita and its still going good. I've used sthils as well from hire company. Cant really say which ones are the best, they have all been good, although the sthils do have the anti twist lever to stop them snapping your wrist !!!!

    Hey Gary,

    Acacia hire out the Barreto Compac Hydraulic Auger, it has no belts or chains to break and we have 6", 9" and 12" diameter attachments. Its a one man unit, lightweight, compact and reversible for ease of use over digging or pulling the auger out of the hole.

    It has survived being hired so it is a sturdy machine, fine with high levels of use.
