Well that didn't work to well. Must have hit the wrong button.
Anyway, I have a very dry rockery that is under a couple of large trees. I have been there when it rains and it gets nowt.
The owner said he has tried alpines before and they did not survive.
I have put in a rocky stream over butyl rubber and I am wondering if alpines would grow now.
Obviously it still dry soil around the stream.
Would it be possible to put some mat into the stream so that water could soak up into the soil?
I think planting in the stream would just wash the soil away.
Any thoughts?
