Good idea.
I could create a forum section for plants identification, we could create a specialised group or do both if that helps?
I certainly feel a forum section at least is appropriate and kind of strange I have not added one until now.
Best
Phil
If at all possible, and this is probably a big ask, but progressively, an idea could be that these are catagorised be genus and species and also native country, and a small write up based on their commercial/economic properties. I feel that there is so much emphasis based on the glamour and fashion of flowers and like Colin has mentioned, an understanding and appreciation of our wild/native flowers...
To be honest Phil, I am sure you have enough on your plate but I do know that no other site has anything similar and I guess, the advantage you have, is that it could/would be serviced to some extent by the members of the network.
The site really is just a large database of pages that can be accessed directly, or via search, but also via the tagging option each new forum post offers.
So, for example, when someone adds a plant to this forum category you would write away as normal with whatever info is required, take the opportunity to link to other sources and include images if necessary.
Your discussion title could be the common name and/or the Latin name, and once you have finished you new article include the necessary tags in the available box.
This would then allow anyone to click on a tag and see all plants tagged with this keyword.
It most probably would only take half a dozen new articles to be submitted before you come to a common method, but you would soon have a database of plants to query both at home or out on the road if you have internet connection.
Any questions just shout.
I think the last picture is a chocolate cosmos http://www.bbc.co.uk/gardening/plants/plant_finder/plant_pages/227....
Hope this helps?
What a good idea to have a plant ID page.

I think you are right Vanessa. I have only seen cosmos with very fine pinnate leaves, though the leaves of C. Atrosanguineus (Chocolate Cosmos) appear to be oblong... This was a bedding plant used in a roadside bedding scheme outside Lille, France
