Falling into personal debt, behind with the mortgage, considering payday loans, can't heat your home or feed the family and all getting a bit much, we may be able to help.
Our helpline nmber is 0845 230 8139 so you can speak to an experienced caseworker today.
If you are not sure if we can help you, take at look at the attached leaflet and if you are still not sure by all means message me through LJN or email me lchurchill@perennial.org.uk for a confidential chat.
Please don't struggle in silence, there is no shame in asking for help.

Wishing you sunshine & chocolate.

Please, please take time to read the attachment to Lindsay's post.

Someone, somewhere at sometime could benefit massively by you understanding what is on offer from Perennial and directing a person in need to it for help...

I've been a bit poorly this week. Some kind of virus I think.

However, despite the aches, pains and obvious discomfort I managed to work a little yesterday.
One of the main reasons for carrying on is because there's nobody to do my work for me.

I suppose I am lucky. I don't think I've been ill for at least five years but I can cast my mind back to occasions when I had but no choice to continue working when I should have been resting.

I'm not after your sympathy;-) but I wanted to highlight (if you didn't already know)the challenges SMEs face.

A small business owner might have the loving support of his or her family and friends during (prolonged?) spells of poor health but it doesn't pay the bills.

A small business owner often eats' sleeps and drinks their business so time away can cause systems to collapse, schedules to go awry and the whole organisation to lose momentum.

....all leading to a lot more stress and strain.

How do you and your business cope if you are ill?

  • Hi Phil,

We recently helped a life time horticulturist who has had an interesting career and now operates as a sole trader. Facing surgery a few months ahead he had saved up the money to cover his recuperation period however he lost a contract and with the winter we have had most of the money had gone. We were pleased to be able to help him through & although he is now back at work we are still working with him on some other issues that will make a difference long term.
He knew of Perennial as he had been involved in raising funds for us in the past, he never dreamt he would ever need our help.
