I have been doing a lot of research on fire pits.

In this country we seem to be way behind the drag curve on using them in designs. America definately leads the way and uses them a lot. Obviously could be to do with location in the states and the weather, but are we not missing a trick here?

Extended use of the garden into the evenings?

Only a few have appeared at some of the RHS shows in the last few years.

There are a few individual companies out there, with fantastic pits made out of steel etc. But there are a lot more cheaper end products in the DIY stores.

Has anyone used/ featured them in a design recently?

Personally I'll introduce fire into my designs when the requirements allow.

Ive used this particular company many times and find their products appealing to the eye.

This particular beauty (below) has a place in my own garden and is used constantly to burn off cuts of sleepers and and timber debris that's too small to be used any where else, great on a any evening, even just to light up as a back drop whilst inside,

Pricey?, yes, however quality wins hands down.

Hi Dan,

Just uploaded some images of a fire pit I designed for a client and it was constructed late last week. Needing tips on how to fertilize a lawn was a thread I started a couple of weeks ago on this forum, you will find the images there. I tried to upload the images for you, but had no luck.

Hi Dan,

Finally I was able to upload the images. This fire pit was also designed to be a sculptural piece in the garden as well.

If you want one why not get in touch with fenlandphil?
