    Mow around it.

They soon get the hint after a couple of visits.
  • I either get them to pick it up or mow around it, I cant stand dog poo it makes me retch! I hate having to pick up after mine.
  • Done that before, after asking for the lawn to be cleared before we did any work, (didn't get the hint though!)
They had a cat also and the borders were full of it.
Put our prices up more every year to compensate, quite happy when we eventually lost the work to some other poor gardener.

The thing was they had young children playing in the garden, If you're going to have a dog at least clear up after it.

  • Not too bad if you hit it with the mower, just watch out when strimming!
  • Its only dog crap that does it to me no other does! If iv got gloves on I can handle cat crap!

I don't suffer this and in a sad way I am so use to this due to my care work I don't mind the odd bit of dog mess.

  • I had a garden like this once, I repetidly asked for everything to be removed from the lawn and when after about 4 months of cutting it it still wassent done I just used to mow over everything that wassent going to break my mower! their lawn was very pretty as the wanted it discharged too!

Dog pooh, cat pooh, rabbit hutches and pooh, trampolines, washing lines with Mrs Nibs smalls on , kids toys(guns/bikes/plastic castles), another pointless purchase from Poundstretcher, mole hills, dropped pegs, amphibians breaking free from the pond, solar lights, dogs rubber bones/frisby ........those bloody balls from Daisy's ball pit.........sweet mother.....ban the lot!
  • I reuse to work in any garden if the client has landmines all over the place, if the client allows its dog to foul over my work once I've shut the site down for the night and forgets to pick it up, I wont allow any works to commence until its moved and will have no hesitations to pull off and commence another project if this continues.

By the time I arrive back to finish I'll have signed documents.

Asked customer to ensure dirt is lifted before if it isn't then do same as others mow round, on one commercial contract dog owners see this as an area for their dogs to sh1t on, got caught on one occasion took the lesson at the time strimmed with safety glasses & ear protection & yup you guessed it now wear full visor if doing those contracts. Another lesson learned is giving the area a quick shift to spot any potential problems.
  • I had a garden I worked in that had 2 dogs and after constant asking to clean up the poo and the customer not doing so after months and months I jacked it in...soooo disgusting mowing poo!!!

I currently have 2 customers with dogs and they always clean up the poo as they know I will leave if they dont!
