Do you believe in UFO? Sighting near Monflanquin

I'm very much in the 'we are not alone' camp and I have more than an open mind about the possibility that there are other lifeforms elsewhere.

I was out riding a couple of Sundays ago and I saw this stationary white orb. Judging by the height in the sky it was fairly large.

I quickly ruled out the possibility that it was any kind of (weather) balloon. There was definitely no visible cable anchoring it to the ground, besides, I live in a very rural area so no advertising balloon either.

I also ruled out this object being a blimp.

What struck me was that whatever this was was super-static. No movement at all. As I rode I kept my eye on it and it never moved one bit.

I did a 26 mile circuit and as I re-approached the area I saw this object initially, there was no trace of it.

The object was completely round with the lower one quarter appearing bright white (no visible lights) and the upper three-quarters off-white in colour.

I know this image is graining. It was taken on an iPhone. It was much much clearer to the naked eye though.
