  • I've always had a business bank account to keep everything separate and if you have to show the accountants your bank records then it's easier to show up business transactions.
  • this is a separate account that i use for my self employed work keep personal separate
  • I have always used my personal Natwest account to cash in my cheques etc, never been told I can't use it, and as my turnover is pretty small it doesn't cause me any accounting problems.

  • Always had a business account. Have moved it around a few times over the years to get free banking, usually 12- 18 months, Business accounts are fine as long as you dont go overdrawn without an arrangement. Although whatever they charge you is able to be claimed back as a legitimate expense.
  • i am with natwest as they have branches near where my customers are with very easy parking, and they have paying in envelopes so i just cram money and cheques in fill the form in on the back and put it through a letter box in branch so no queues.

i was with barclays but they started closing my local branch on a saturday so i went in branch withdrew my money from personal, my business and my savings and told them why and i sent a letter to head office and got an automated reply.
