Has the mower been bashed by accident or something blocking throttle travel?
Anothe thing is the air intake clear as that would reduce power?
Plugs been swapped over, fuel lines and carb have an inline filter which I swaped too so should be, Will double check and clear them out with air tomorrow.
Im assuming its been beated up in the van to be fair....
Didnt think air intake (Its too obvious isnt it!) - I've got a spare filter so will swap over.
Cant find the manual or a guide to adjusting the goveneor which my gut screams will be something to do wiht it.
That said itl be something even more obvious now, such as no fuel or wheels.
I think that's an Intek engine ? May be worth a compression test to see if any bypass on the piston or more likely valves ? We had similar on a Hayter 53 with a 675 B&S. Turned out to be a burnt valve, leaking compression.
In which case, poor thing is a spare machine now. :( Alas it was a cracking mulcher and had good speed.,

Does it rev out to 3000-3250 rpm without hesitation with no load applied (check via digi tacho) ? Might help identify if running gear (belts/gearbox) are sapping power.?
If an engine issue, expect to pay £260-£325 for dropped shipped, new "plug in" replacement engine. For our 675 it was ~£260.
If you have major engine issues, by the time you buy spares, mess around/pay labour etc it works out quite cost neutral and you get a new lease of life :-)
Had the piston out this even - hairline cracks and the rings were totally gone....... Also heavily worn bearings everywhere - Compression was obviously the issue.
Not bad for a mahcine that does 50% of all my grass cutting, and 100% of it in 2010/11. Rough guess is over 2500 hours of use........ Mulchin mostly too so it was always at full whack and under stress.
I will look at spares / new engine, but to be fair Its had its day, the deck its dinted underside and The drivetrain is badly worn in places, wheel bareings worn etc....
sadly not a cheap fix - If it was less than £100 Id fix it but It looks like time to thing hard on that toro Turfmaster!
Well at least you now know. It may be uneconomical then to refurb etc.
If you decide on a new engine, I'll can ping the details across otherwise...where's that Toro brochure ?
The you need to do some of that 'man maths' stuff ...:-)
