  • I use Guy Cotton Jacket and trousers. Not cheap but completely waterproof and the best I have ever used.

  • Same here guy cotton bib & brace oilskins - fishermans gear really but totally 100% waterproof,not breathable but great in the winter

    Strauss gear... all the way, especially their S2 Low ankle boots :-)

    Wearing outdoor clothes that are designed to dry out immediately (like Craghopper), means during spring/summer/Autumn you don't mind getting damp wet as it's normally too hot to wear full waterproofs.

    Winter time is different as being wet with wicking effect chills you to much, then you need bulk and waterproof gear.

  • Do people suggest just over trousers or something fleece lined just wear on a day it might rain?
