I use it on my mower blades,lawn side cutters, hand held shears even my spades
Before you sharpen, half open them and check for any play between the blades, if there is tighten the nut and bolt that holds the shears together as they can work loose
As Phil says, adjust the centre bolt as necessary...then just run an angle grinder down the thin cutting edge a few times...... only takes a minute. Don't run the grinder down the large flat side though or they'll be wrecked.
