I mentioned this the other day on the 'Include your Twitter updates' thread the other day but I am not sure it has been widely picked up. It is now possible to synchronise your LJN page with your Twitter account. To enable this feature..... go yo your page and look for the 'Tell us what you are doing' box. Just below this you will see the Titter symbol with a check box next to it. Enable this box and a pop-up will populate on the screen asking you to log-in to Twitter so that LJN and Twitter can talk to each other. Once enable you will be able to add a message in the update on your page and immediately send the same message to Twitter. Another great feature is the ability to send any photo, video, blog or forum post....as well as profiles and other information - in fact, anywhere you see the Twitter symbol - directly to Twitter. One of the coolest features is a little check-box at the foot of a new blog or forum post - add a little note and when you publish your new content, Twitter gets it at exactly the same time. I hope, one day, we will be able to reverse this and have anything you add directly to Twitter, sent to LJN too.

    Hi Simon

Hopefully yes - I could easily add an RSS feed straight away but I think we would all prefer full integration and that is what I hope Ning will enable. It would be nice to have Linkedin and Facebook as part of the site.

Not tried it myself, but if you click on the Share link above you will see the option to add to Facebook, this will let you spread your work and that of others there as well.

....Oh yes, of course - there is that option: thanks Craig.
  • Thanks Craig, I should have spotted that. I have a personal Facebook 'page' but would it be better to start a company one?

"We tend to finish cutting very early in November unless specifically asked not to, so all our lawns are really ready for a cut. Plus the weeds are starting and the flowers are beginning to bloom so plenty to do. It's good to be back to it"
