This is a memorial to John Cobb who broke the water-speed record on Loch Ness 29 September 1952. Sadly his boat Crusader disintegrated during the attempt killing John Cobb. Sadly after setting the record, reaching a speed of 206 miles an hour, Cobb's speedboat Crusader broke up. John Cobb was killed.
