I use hand files for hedge trimmers & chainsaws, bench grinder for mower blades (hand file to touch up in the field) & sharpening stones for knifes, secateurs etc. Nothing fancy, I find it therapeutic of an evening.

Angle grinder each week for mower blades, Dremel type tool on a flexi shaft for hedge trimmers. No need to strip down. As far as I can judge the blades are as sharp as they can be.
