Tools that don't break !

I have bought 3 half moon turf edgers this season. None seem to be strong enough. The end of the shaft which attaches to the half moon plate is often thin steel which just bends. At £20 a go it's getting a bit expensive. Are there any good quality professional turf edgers suitable for landscapers or is there a better designed tool that would stand up to the rigours of a heavy boot? !

  • You need to get your self one of these heavy duty edging tool I too went through loads of edging irons brought from garden centres and like you all bent or broke at the head. This one has been used for two season and still strong as when i first got it. You maybe able to find it cheaper but couldn't remember where i purchased mine.
  • Thanks Ian/John. I found the Radius Lawn edger when I was researching tools but it doesn't seem to be available in the UK curently. Looks like a great design though. I'm going to order the edger you suggested Ian - cheers.

  • Nice one - thanks John.
  • I can offer you, using heavy duty edging- that will give you an extra job to start with and good profit and... much less work on the edging.

I did garden maintenance for 7 years - I know what you are on about.
