Re-concreting a driveway in North Lincolnshire

Mrs G from Botesford near Scunthorpe ,North Lincolnshire contacted Peak Surfacing recently, with a old concrete driveway which was in  urgent need of resurfacing. Due to the thickness of the concrete,a mechanical excavtor would have to be brought to site to break it up , but Mr and Mrs G didnt want the mess that excavtion would cause. They had recently watched Peak Surfacing install a resin bound surface a few doors down, and were impressed with the finished surface.

Peak Surfacing prepared for the installation by cutting back the concrete near the pavement and adding a charcoal blocked pave detail  to get a level with the pavement, adhering metal stripping to both sides of the driveway to give a neat finished edge and cutting back concrete near the garage door opening to allow for raising the finished level by 18mm.

Resin bound aggregates are natural kiln dried aggregates, encapsulated in clear polyurethane binder, trowlled to a smooth finish before broadcasting a anti slip ingredient over the finished surface.

Its pourous nature allows water  to drain to the concrete below preventing puddles forming and washes atmaospheric pollution away, making for easy maintenace.

With a lifespan of 12-15 years this decorative surfacing ,has all the qualities of traditional surfacing, whether blocks, tarmac or imprinted concrete without many disadvantages.
