Well I am now home and the trailer is unloaded, which wasn’t much fun in torrential rain, but all done.

What an experience being an exhibitor was, I got to talk to lots of people, had a very positive response to my new gabion planters and 2 sociable nights in a nice hotel. I met the famous Phil Voice and his efficient team of helpers, Gaynor Witchard who was my first show customer for the planters, thanks Gaynor, plus many other LJN members both exhibiting and visiting who all came to say hello.  Steve of T & S (Somerstock) provided some lovely herbs for my planters, much appreciated.

I must give a really good testimonial for Pay Yours, they provided a credit card terminal for the show at short notice and were friendly and helpful. The terminal itself was very simple to use, in fact it must be foolproof if even I managed to use it without problems, apart from forgetting to give the first person’s credit card back to them :)

I got chance to go to some of the seminars, which were informative, had a wander round to the other stands which were interesting, a good range of products and services.

I made new contacts for both my garden design and the planters and had an enjoyable couple of days, so overall a good exhibition for me.

Thanks Graham, by the way I've decided to keep the card terminal, I've used it quite a lot now and have found it useful for both the planter and garden design payments. Having one does help with the professional appearance of the business too. It was good to meet you at the show.

I would like to concur with Sally's statement, the work and effort
that went into producing the show from the exhibitors and Phil’s team was
immense. I saw more than most as I was down early Monday morning with Marshalls
Installation team replacing a tired paved garden with the new (my favourite)
Firedstone Paving so witnessed all the stands and machinery being readied for
the big day. For the team at Marshalls it was a great platform to show off the
skills of our Cad designers and meet likeminded professionals wanting to
exchange views network and raise the profile of our Industry.

Like yourself Sally the show was also a success for us, we met a
wide range of quality people from contractors to RHS managers along with a
colleague i had not met for seven years. We also did some good networking with
firms exhibiting at the show that hopefully will benefit Marshalls Register
members in the future, so all in all a very fruitful few days. Congratulations
to Phil and his Capel Manor team on a great show.
