A new memorial web site

Hi Folks after a few years we have had a re design of our memorial bench web site www.benchmemorials.co.uk

We will be adding new images of our green oak memorial furniture in the near future including some more images of hand carved letters and plaques for memorial seating.

carved lettering in the garden

new products

Over the summer we have been developing some new vandal proof park benches and memorial benches,aimed mainly at woodlands, green burial sites,and parkland who would like ecofriendly seating solutions.

We now have our rustic back bench to add to the product range its avalable up to 2000.mm L comes ready made with the option of 300.mm root fixing or stainless fixing kits .

sweet chestnut

Recently we bought a large quantity of sweet chestnut that had been locally felled with the idea of using it on a job.

We have been recently commissioned to design and make four bespoke memorial benches this was the perfect job for the timber.

I forgot how wonderful this timber is to work with, it has the same durability of green oak but its a bit softer to work with and lighter in appearance .

Super busy with new work

The end of another super busy week at the chris nangle furniture workshops, we have been making some bespoke memorial seating for a client who wanted some thing a bit different,so we suggested a pair of sculpted charred oak seats with a dedication carved into it .

We have never carved into the charred oak before and the results were just as we had hoped for ,its some thing I would like clients to use in bespoke garden furniture to personalise the work , I will have a new page on my website… Continue
