I manage a company manufacturing decorative iron garden products in the main plant supports of various kinds arches, obelisks, gazebos etc. (
http://www.seriousgardener.co.uk/ ).
Are there any lanscaping or garden products in my line of country that any of you need that you can't get else where? perhaps something available in Victorian times or earlier that is no longer made.
I would be interested to hear of anything.

We are restructuring CSL and in doing so one factor keeps cropping up - how do we continue to advertise our sustainable credentials effectively. One route was to start utilising the words 'Traditional and 'Heritage' to header the work we do.
The reality is that no new wording is required, indeed for us to use 'sustainable' as a selling header is in itself a little daft.…

One of the most beautiful locations we’ve ever delivered to is Landivy, a small rural town in North West France, around an hour inland from Saint-Malo.
The customer initially contacted us on the 6th March ‘09, to enquire whether we would be able to deliver three packs of
Bradstone Natural Sandstone Silver Grey 900×600’s to the area. Within a few…

On the 1st of November 2009, NAMGRASS UK was officially launched.
Namgrass is one of the leading artificial grass companies in Europe that can design, produce and distribute high-end artificial grass products for all residential purposes. They are globally responsible for more than 50 million m² of installed artificial grass.
Having checked their product range I was very impressed with the quality and affordability. The grasses no longer resemble the green grocers display…

As traditional landscaping techniques creep into suburban areas or more often suruban areas creep into ex agricultural areas with elements of traditional landscaping maintained as features as prescribed by planning authorities and quite rightly. There are so many facets to running a successful business - how to conduct oneself, knowing your subject, corporate appearance and clothing but also, how paperwork is handled in the office can set yourself out from the rest.
Whenever we received a letter or invoice into the office we would stamp it immediately with the date of receipt and either deal with it or file it in a pending folder.
We always paid invoices, under the terms of our contract, on the date of…

I've never come across an awkward client before - I've been lucky enough to get on well with all my clients but this week has been the most challenging one of my life!
We've been building a party wall and have come across a very awkward and actually abusive neighbour.
I find it difficult to be 'nasty' back but don't want to have to stand and take abuse. I think she will just have to be one of those I chalk up to experience and hope to never come across anyone like her…

The recent tragic flooding in Cumbria follows a line of extreme 'once in a lifetime' flooding events in the last decade to hit various parts of the UK. It is interesting that this time there have been more reports focusing on human activities compounding the situation, more so than in previous events. There is some truth in this, although it is perhaps prudent to note that the more localised and unreported events are the ones which do have a direct link back. The large scale flooding, which may…
