Self Employed

As of today I am working for myself as a garden designer I am in my office which is sited in the kitchen, next to the dishwasher washing machine and tumble drier these seem to be on constantly now that we have a 3 week old baby, hes a cute thing but I dont seem to get on with much as he always needs his nappy changing. What a surprise

sweet chestnut

Recently we bought a large quantity of sweet chestnut that had been locally felled with the idea of using it on a job.

We have been recently commissioned to design and make four bespoke memorial benches this was the perfect job for the timber.

I forgot how wonderful this timber is to work with, it has the same durability of green oak but its a bit softer to work with and lighter in appearance .
