so that's why they're called...

Dusk today found me trying to haul out the last Forget-me-nots from the borders in the back garden. I've been getting a bit fed up of having to spend 1/2 hour afterwards picking the seeds off my fleece, and they give me a rash if I don't cover up, so this time I was stylishly attired in rubber gloves and sleeves wrapped in plastic bags strapped on with masking tape... nice. Note to self: next year pull them out before they set seed. The seed bank in the beds must be in hefty F-m-n credit by…

Twitter mayhem!

I have signed us up for Twitter @mprlandscapes.

Currently still getting to grips with it (more of a Facebook girl myself) and 'tweeting' other local business' seems to be going well gaining contacts and getting our name out there.

The one distraction I do have is with 'following' celebrities bringing out the inner stalker in myself (yes I am ashamed and nope I can't stop it) sorry.

Some how I don't think that knowing what Peter Andre is having for breakfast or what the…

Moisture causes more than two thirds of floor failures

Ultra Floor wish to promote the importance of moisture testing – can you really afford to neglect this simple process?

Few are aware that more than two thirds of floor failures are caused by moisture, or more strictly speaking by not taking moisture into account.  This really is a surprising statistic considering that sub-floor preparation and floor coverings can be protected from moisture very easily.

If a substrate has not reached the…

Seppi Launch New Miniforst Pick-Up Mulcher

Picking up pruning’s cleanly and mulching them to a fine degree, even when the prunings are large is something that many users of mulchers want to achieve. Well mulched material breaks down much quicker and helps mowing and harvesting operations. If there are a lot of stones on the floor mulching can be very difficult without damaging the mower.

The ice age

One of those crazy lunchtime chats,

The melting polar ice caps got us chatting the other day at work,

The earths wobble was the subject of the day, the cause of the seasonal, and the global  temperature changes, and the earths weather,  as the tilt disperses the angle that the rays of the sun hit the earths surface.

The same phenomenon that caused the invading Romans to grow grape vines on the South sloping slopes in England in the warm concentrated…
