Pergolas and Quiet

After on of the many flower and garden shows I attended in 2010 I was contacted by a customer who needed some help to create a peaceful haven in their urban garden.

The garden was very long but also narrow with a horrible wire mesh fence, the only thing between them and their neighbours.

The brief was to create a space that they could feel comfortable in on the few days off that they have and also Sue said a 'pond to play in' for Colin.

The couple were getting married so… Continue

Promoting your projects using the online tools on the network

One of the things I hope people are able to do is use the tools built in to the network to help them promote their work to potential customers.

A perfect example of this is the blog post by Gary Cobb, of Acer Paving & Landscaping, who has written about a Wiltshire garden landscaping and paving project he has worked on.

Using a simple 'before & after' style of writing, Gary has written about the work involved in re-creating the garden for his customers.

And he…

wow look at all that space!

Had a shed clear out yesterday. I know that sounds like a bit of a sad thing to do on a bank holiday monday but it's one of those jobs that is never top priority so never gets done and yet it is always a pain trying to use the shed when it's cluttered, dirty and disorganised, so today while the OH was (finally) finishing off a bit of paving, I tackled The Shed. Loads of stuff in there that I hadn't touched since moving here 4 years ago. Mice have made themselves at home, shredded all kinds…
