Plant hire

Hello peopleMe and a mate have just brought a Red Rhino concrete crusher to hire out as a seperate business to my garden maintenance business, but it got me thinking, I have quite a few garden machines and tools, mowers, chipper, scarifier etc that I could hire out as a add on to my garden maintenance business. What I want to know is, is there a market for small garden machine hire.  I have never hired any machines myself just wondered if anybody has and what garden machines/equipment people…See More

He does have the black button nose and 'look' of a Bassett Griffon Vendeen. Here is a pic of Chester who is one!

I've seen the videos on the Jo Beau site but when I looked at the 200 on you tube .... next to it was one of the Eliet Major - home made vid - but no comparison - I've got to start saving up for the Jo Beau.

I don't know whether or not you were 'given' that kit with the... 'small mowing round' or not Jason but you look nicely set up --- Have a good Christmas --- Pete.

Hello to all.
The Jo-beau 300 is an excellent machine. I've used it on all types of hedging and branches and had no problems and it is just tall enough to fire the chip straight into the back of a transit tipper or into a wheely bin, so no shoveling waste off the floor.

Hi Jason – I see you have a Jo Beau 300! - I've been trying to find out how well.... or if the Jo Beau will take hedge clippings at all.

Chipper/shredders have been discussed on the site a bit and I think folk reckon the Eliot Major to be the most suitable in it's price bracket for general maintenance work ie: hedge and shrub clippings and branches up to 50mm or so.

Some chap was asking the question “which chip/shredder” on a lumberjack site - they basically told him to just get a chipper – less chance of it blocking I think they said.

I can't stretch to a 300 – it would have to be the 200 (9hp).... what do you do with yours Jason and how well do you think the 200 might cope? ---
