About your business
Incorporated our residential landscape architecture and garden design practice in 2010. We specialise in domestic gardens and landscapes, reed beds and water management, and offer additional services such as Visual Impact Assessments and Design & Access Statements in support of planning applications.

I designed and built my first garden back in 1986, and I've done quite a few since, although I cringe when I look back at those early ones. After 25 years experience of international projects and green (and not so green) technology development, I completed the Residential Landscape Architecture and Garden Design PGDipl at Oxford College of Garden Design with distinction, and have decided to make a lifelong interest my new career.

Can you tell the difference between a Philadephus Belle Etoile or Philadelphus Virginal, with no leaves or flowers on?Can you identify a Rhododendron by variety, with no flower, just leaves? If you can, well done. If not, why not come along and learn, how to learn about plants, for free. Steve has commercially grown Shrubs, Climbers, Grasses, Bamboo, Trees & Herbaceous for the last 32 years for a living, so knows a lot about how to grow plants, and how they grow!Spaces are limited for this…See More

Svend Rumbold replied to Chris Auld's discussion Owning two businesses for VAT purposes.
"Simply splitting the business to avoid VAT is not a good idea.  However, there are a couple of things to think about: - If you do a lot of landscaping, you can reduce your turnover by asking clients to order/buy certain materials themselves.…"
