Best Thread for Partnership

Hello All Don't have much time to view Landscape Juice these days but maybe I will if I can work this one out.  I have an employee who wants to become a partner and I feel that he is worthy for many reasons.  I was just wondering if there is a thread on here to save a new one being started about creating a partnership - the implications (considering I have spent 5 years hard work creating a 110 hour a week business)...has anyone done this before and how does it work best. Thank you for any…See More

Hi m8

I have a sheet which i now work from which lists everything i should be doing on that specific day and its a godsend i dont know how many jobs i would have missed out on if it wasnt for that.

As for the cherry it all depends on how far you pruned it back i only prune as necessary and they never suffer. I dont think any gardner this time of year will turn down prunning a cherry if it was a couple of months out. Mind you some on this site will tell you otherwise lol

Hi sefton

Sorry i havnt replied sooner. I thought the calander was a great idea there was things on there that i hadnt even thought of.

If i can add a couple of things to it which see me through febuary are scarifying the lawns before topdressing and forking this takes up at least two weeks. I bought myself a wolf scarifyer which is one of the best i have used.

I also instead of putting chicken pellets down use well rotted manure on my gardens its free from most farms so you can charge the customer what you like for it, and it works a treat.

I think you have pretty much covered everything i find jan and feb one of my busiest times of the year and looking at your calander just goes to prove it.

Hi Sefton,

Reading through your post on the 'Staying Positive' thread I would be interested in a copy of your monthly schedule of works. I think mine is bound to be missing a few bits and pieces, especially around this time of year! If you could send me a copy it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

Will

Hi Martin

I use Evergreen for my own lawn but I do not really use any form of lawn conditioning for customers as they rarely request it, but I can see your predicament. Have you thought of making up the formula yourself, obviously as long as you get the ratios correct. If you have the staple ingredients, you may be able to tailor to each individual garden. This is a good ratio you can use: 24-4-8 24% nitrogen, 4% phosphorus and 8% potash as active ingredients. If you can buy these nutrients in bulk, it may help you out massively.

Hi Sefton

Hows the weather doing to your business?
Just a quick qustion for you I use evergreen extra for all my lawns iam finding it a bit pricey now what do you use?
I now sub contract green thumb out for a lot of my large jobs, the end product is the same but it takes the stress out of it,also the ones i use recomend me to a lot of there customers it works a treat.
