I've been researching the new topic of 'flood tolerant planting' recently, I'm trying to compile a list of plants which grow well even through periods of drought and periods of heavy rainfall which result in boggy conditions, there doesnt appear to be alot of info about any particular plants.Or maybe there just isnt many which are tough enough to tolerate dry and wet soil!! "I don't think anyone in their right mind would want to plant wild onions, - they are also on the DEFRA invasive list (or soon to be added) . "

"Carex pendula, daffodils, wild onions (indestructible). It also depends on the age of the plant as to whether or not it can withstand a drought. And the length of the wet period is also a factor."

"google 'riparian plant lists' most of the pdfs will be from US or Australasia but many of the species can be found in cultivars or base form in the UK. Be really careful and cross reference with the DEFRA invasive list -…"
