At The London College of Garden Design our aim is to provide world-class, inspirational garden design training. Our garden design courses and leading Garden Design Diploma lead by Andrew Wilson have been created to enable students to learn from the very best in the profession every day. All our tutors have the most up to date knowledge and information to support you in your chosen career whether it is the one-year Garden Design Diploma or our programme of short courses and readers’ days.
The College is based at the international Regent’s College in Regent’s Park in the heart of London, surrounded by gardens and parkland that gives us a quiet haven for study whilst being within easy access of transport links and live projects being constructed in the capital. In keeping with the international student body of Regent’s College we welcome students on our landscape design diploma and garden design courses from both the UK and overseas.
Founded by three of the UK’s leading garden professionals the College offers a flexible programme of full time and short courses to support you in your chosen career.
Our one year Garden Design Diploma programme is the first garden design course aimed at providing a master class every day for its students. The Diploma is led by Andrew Wilson, widely acknowledged as one of the UK’s leading garden design lecturers, who has been at the forefront of garden design teaching in the UK and overseas, for some 20 years.
We’ve taken a new, fresh approach by arming students with professional skills not always offered at other more traditional colleges. As well as core design and plant skills we provide intensive business and construction teaching so that students can launch successful businesses as soon as they graduate. And with the support of many of the world’s leading garden designers we are often able to introduce students to immediate work placements and design positions. For more information click on the Diploma course button.
Our garden design short courses offer practical skills and inspirational teaching through which garden designers and landscape professionals can benefit and expand their skills. The 2009 short course programme includes seminars aimed at contemporary design trends led by Andrew Wilson, the secrets of show garden success as well as the changing face of planting design and workshops supporting business development. And with tailored training to support our landscape design diploma students and practicing garden professionals you need only come to one place.
And if you have an interest in garden design and gardens but not as a career we have developed a series of events and courses that will give you an insider’s knowledge of the profession and enable you to expand your own garden design skills.
