"A bark path does look nice and natural. However, I did a bark chip path once. The local cats used it as a giant litter tray so I had to take it up."

"I would use 100 x 22 pressure treated timber boards, fixed to 50 x 50 pegs. You could also use metal edging, eg Everedge, but this will work out a lot more expensive."

"If he is worried about loosing the gravel or it pitting deeply, what about installing Coregravel, its on the right in the advertisers. That will keep the gravel in place better."

Gravel

I have designed a small gravel area that curves with a brick edging, as an extension to my clients existing patio. My client is concerned about how this would look after a heavy downpour, particularly as his garden suffers from flooding when it rains for days.He has asked me if he can see an example of a gravel terrace somewhere locally, preferably somewhere that he can visit.Any ideas ? the area is Brentwood Essex.ThanksGlennSee More
