LJN Tour meet-up Bristol 2013 including Rammed Earth in landscaping presentation by Kerry Jackson at Bristol Marriott Hotel

March 12, 2013 from 5pm to 9pm
This meeting will kick off with Sustainable Rammed Earth structures in the garden, presented by Kerry Jackson.Rammed Earth is a truly sustainable landscaping method which utilises waste soil from site excavations. Using soil from site, which will otherwise be wasted, rammed earth landscaping eliminates the need for muck-away and importation costs.Kerry's Rammed Earth presentation will be followed by an informal networking discussion. These networking sessions are 'blank page' and really…See More

Hi Gareth,

There isn't a free trial version of Pro available.  Only Simplestart and I don't think you'll be able to transfer your records from one to another.  I've sent you and email.  I'd suggest reading that first before you do anything.

Hi Gareth,

I have experience with QB Pro but not with Simplestart.  I'll see if I can find some of the reviews you mention to see if I think they're relevant.  We can communicate by email if you want to chat about it further,

Hi Gareth,

been trolling'round town now for appx 7 yrs, looking after all my regulars, plus the occasional one off jobs. I'm in Tottedrown and most work is Redland, Henleaze, Clifton etc. Plenty enough for just me, not a bad office we have eh?

Good morning Gareth - so you are just over the hill from me.

Mmmm... recession? Seem to have kept working by hook or by crook at the moment, but with less emphasis on landscaping and more work on walls, drystone and lime mortar. To be honest it's whatever comes in and since ( perhaps foolishly) I don't advertise work is either from referal or recommendation. I try not to think about these things!! How is it for you?

i do know a guy down near there actually but i dont have his number ...ill find out exactly how far away he is and try and get it....
why would they (the customer) want any tree 'hacked' down ?! you have to be straight with them and explain that good sharp tools make a clean/tidy cut and dont allow diesease/infections in wood - i dont know ant arboroculturists that dont do a proper job.....

All the best - Simon

Hi Gareth.

Sorry for not getting straight back to you, I am getting to know the layout of this site.

I have around seven years experience in garden maintenance. Abilities include; Hedge cutting (with a devilish habit of using topiary when I worked for the local authority), the bottom of Lees Hill nr. Kingswood being one of my former 'playgrounds'. I obviously had permission. Grass cutting from gardens to bowling greens. Strimming Shrub bed maintenance (both winter and summer) Fine turf work All types of general Garden Maintenance. Qualified PA1 & PA2 pesticide sprayer. Planting out & flower bed maintenance.

I only have 5 regular clients at the moment and am relying on word of mouth & cold calling which is not proving too fruitful right now.

I love all kinds of grounds maintenance.

Sorry if this has sounded like a job application.

I have made a note of your impessive background in Garden Maintenance & contact details.

Great to hear from you and I will stay in touch.

Best regards.

David.

Hi Gareth

Welcome to the Landscape Juice Garden Network and thank you for joining and especially for contributing to the thread 'what does a gardener charge'.

Both here and on the Landscape Juice main site, we are building up some great input on gardening charges for the UK.

Kind regards
