If I excavate to 500mm depth to create a bog garden using holed plastic membrane under maybe 50% of an old willow tree overhang, am I going to kill the tree? I suspect I totally am so don't shoot me…Continue

Willow thrive in damp conditions. The only caveat is that if whilst excavating the hole, you chop through the willow's roots then the new root shoots might well quickly move into the area you want the bog to…"
