Yeah, it has a range of applicatons, you can just plank timber or use it to make oak timber frame structures such as houses. You can cut from 3/4 inch to 14 inch thickness, but the real beauty of the mill is that it can be taken anywhere....

Eucalyptus timber is best when from a much drier region or country, it is simply far too wet in the UK. When grown in right area the wood is brilliant and used in the way we use Oak and more precious timber. Brilliant for Pilings and Ships etc.,
If there are exudations coming from cankers or fissures in the bark, the tree may be suffering from bleeding canker. There does appear to be something exuding from the tree in the photo but it is difficult to tell.

The lower photos seems to be a prime example o graft incompatability, the lumps and bumps being zones of irregluar cambial activity causing the deformed appearance.
The horse chestnut may just be the bark developing a cracked, ridged appearance a...

I was wondering if anyone knew of any good uses for eucalyptus wood. I have heard mixed reviews about how well it burns (its a bugger to split once seasoned for sure) and dont think it would be much good as planks as it warps so readily...
I will take a photo and put it up soon..... The sawmill is the portable Alaskan Mill MK III...
