Eucalyptus timber is best when from a much drier region or country, it is simply far too wet in the UK. When grown in right area the wood is brilliant and used in the way we use Oak and more precious timber. Brilliant for Pilings and Ships etc.,

If there are exudations coming from cankers or fissures in the bark, the tree may be suffering from bleeding canker. There does appear to be something exuding from the tree in the photo but it is difficult to tell. http://www.forestresearch.gov.u...
