Ways to repel rabbits.....

A client of mine has always had a few rabbits wandering around the rear garden, however despite the latest harsh winter, they appear to have bred, well like rabbits really.....The problem is that the rabbits come from a field next door, which is (very) slowly being landscaped into fishing lakes, hence is full of great mounds of loose earth said bunnies love to burrow in, then coming into my clients garden to feast on anything green.Shooting is not a practical option - but some idea is needed…See More

What is the best product to use to control weeds in my lawn or grassed area?

Posted on March 20, 2013 at 9:53 0 Comments

Many people experience the frustration of having their lawn invaded by weeds, there may be just one dandelion to start with, but let it flower and seed and there will soon be a hundred!

So what can be done about this?

Firstly do NOT make the mistake that many people do and think 'I'll dribble some Roundup on that....' - works a treat at killing the weed but also kills the grass meaning you end up with lots of…

From Friday 8th March 2013, ANP Services Spalding are now qualified for spraying pest and herbicides (weedkillers) via knapsack sprayers.

All operators that apply pest or herbicides on a commercial basis MUST LEGALLY be qualified to apply these products - failure to do this is illegal - if in doubt, just ask your operator to see their NPTC qualification card.

In order to attain this qualification, two training courses and assessments have to be taken in order to prove…

How do I get rid of garden waste in Lincolnshire and what happens to my garden waste?

Posted on January 25, 2013 at 11:57 0 Comments

Whether you carry out your own gardening, or employ a gardener or have a contract with a garden maintenance business, ALL gardens create waste - this is an undeniable FACT.

So what can you do with this waste?

Larger gardens may find it easy to deal with woody waste such as hedge trimmings by having a designated bonfire area and an area set aside for composting green waste such as leaves, grass cuttings and light prunings.

However not every garden has this luxury,…

Hello Adam,  Sorry, i've only just seen your comment, still finding my way around on here. Yes people here can be a bit strange, must be a lincolnshire thing!

How's things for you over in spalding then? we've just started getting a bit of rain in the last couple of days, but it's been ridiculously dry, the soil is turning to dust in some places. we'll be a desert soon if it carries on like this.
