The best bit of advice I can give Angelique is to not skimp on the liner, buy the best quality one you can afford. Dig out the shape of your pond and then line the hole with a good depth of soft sand before you lay the liner in. I then use PVA on the liner to help the mortar adhere to the liner as I build up the stone. Hope that helps, but feel free to ask more questions if you need to :-)

Did you use a flexible liner for this? We are about to build our very first pond ad it is natural style with flexible liner - I'm a bit nervous about it!! Any helpful tips????
