The early morning sun catches this timber gazebo. Later in the day it will be a cool shady retreat with views across the lawn towards the house. The brief was for "jungle planting". The just planted Bamboos, Phormium, Fatsia, ornamental rhubarb and Rogersia, along with Yucca, Pittosporum and Hebe will grow rapidly to create bold green foliage effects. Some of these may need winter protection if we continue to get long hard frosts and snow.
