The matting is rolled down the prepared bank and
pinned in place, while the top and bottom are buried in
small trenches. The seed is held under the matting by a thin biodegradeable sheet, which obviously rots away quickly when wet, and abve this is a layer of coir which is held in place by a woven hessian grid on the top.
